World Cup 7

Here is my view after 5 games:

Germany: They have totally changed their style of play. They used to be more disciplined and systematic but what we saw last Friday was completely different. They are more flexible right now. You don't see that annoying patience in their play anymore. I explain this by the fact that they are the 3rd young team in the tournament. In addition being the host makes them play more emotionally. However you can't give them credit until they beat a team stronger than Costa Rica.

Costa Rica: I can only say that between football and anti-football they chose the first one. I think they could have been a tougher opponent for Germany if they had picked the second one. Anyways I think they still have the chance to be qualified for the next round.

Poland: I think they can compete Sweden to be the worst European team of the World Cup. Slow reactions to the game was their characteristic in the game against Ecuador.

Ecuador: A team with a plan for every second of the game. That is what you regularly expect from Poland or Sweden but this south American team proved that you can combine discipline and technique to get good result. This is what Iran should be able to do tomorrow against Mexico.

England: As I expected the first game was not easy for England. However they showed again that they have the art of controlling the game when they are ahead. Players like Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard were not in their best shape today. I think they would be better game by game.
